Outcome: Charge Reduced

Description: Mr. Q, a commercial truck driver, slept in his truck one night in an effort to get away from his wife. The wife asked the Chelsea police to check on Mr. Q. The police roused him from his slumber. Mr. Q did not take kindly to being woken up in such a manner. He did not immediately submit to arrest, so the police struck him on his shins with their clubs. On the day of trial the prosecutor agreed to reduce the charge to Disorderly Conduct.
