Outcome: Dismissed
Description: Client, a 28-year-old investment banker, came upon a sobriety checkpoint one night on Quincy Shore Drive. Every vehicle was being stopped. The screening officer asked my client if he had consumed any alcohol. My client admitted to drinking two beers earlier that evening. My client was then sent into a secondary screening area where he was removed from the car and given the Field Sobriety Tests. According to the officer who administered the FSTs, my client failed the tests. He was arrested. In Henry's opinion, the case was very weak for the government. On the date of trial the officers did not show. The case was dismissed.
